April 22nd

Slowly, he unbuttoned me with his words

All the right things at the right time he said

Felt his lingering touch from a hundred steps away

A reason to live for another day

Daringly dismantled my lifelong insecurities

While passionately penetrating enraged energies

Grew safer with every glance he stole

Finally succumbed, gave him my whole

The lane I stepped on, he pleasingly praised

Creating an image too evident to be erased

Although time moved as though on a race,

Every single flaw of mine he praises
